I live in a tiny house. Well, it’s not actually a “tiny house” but a townhouse…a small townhouse that a friend of mine calls a Cracker Jacks box. It’s cozy and I surely do appreciate that it can easily be cleaned top to bottom in a couple hours but storage space is lacking. Especially for outdoor items that would typically be stored in a garage.
Let’s take bikes for example. Oh, to live in a world where you just fling open your garage door and ride right out on your bike. That sounds dreamy in comparison to the lugging of bikes up the 12 steps from the basement, rolling through the kitchen, and fumbling out the front door, a la Seinfeld, that our family has grown accustomed to!
Seriously though, we are blessed to have bikes…really nice bikes…all generously given to us by my bike loving parents who take on 25 miles a day in their mid-70’s. Being appreciative of these great gifts, of course, requires us to take special care of them so today I’m sharing our favorite ways to store our bikes in our small space!
Just genius! If I wasn’t dealing with cement block walls, this would be my first choice!
This is perfect for the non-handy type…the type with cement block walls (like me!)
I saw this in BJ’s a year ago now and I’m still dreaming about it! This would be the perfect solution to free up precious basement space and save my stairway walls from a lot of bumps and bruises!
I’m curious. How do yo store your bikes?
