Recently I was looking back through the MILLIONS of pictures we have from spending time at my happy place, the beach, and I noticed a common thread, well bigger object actually, running through a majority of the pictures….a shovel!
It has always amazed me how the rather simple environment of sand and water can entertain every generation for hours and how children become instant friends playing on the beach. Sure, it’s work to drag the days supplies out to the perfect little spot of paradise but, once you’re set up, the kids tend to happily play for hours!
Looking back over our pictures helped me see how our beach toys really have been a worthwhile investment, especially our heavy duty sand shovels! Here are a few of the beach toys I think are a worthwhile investment for your kids!
- Heavy Duty Shovel:
- Is it pricey for a beach toy? Yes! But will it last? Yes! We’ve gone through our fair share of less expensive shovels adding up to more than the cost of this single, heavy duty shovel. We never regretted splurging on a better quality one that will last.
- Sand Castle Brick Maker Set
- The possibilities are endless with this fun, unique set
- Ice Cream or Cookie Baking Set or Cupcake Set
- Just like a pretend kitchen set is a favorite indoors, these adorable dessert sets will be a big hit!
- Indestructible Beach Buckets or this collapsible bucket
- It never fails that the handle breaks off a typical sand bucket after one day of play. These are great options with rope/fabric handles to avoid this age-old problem!
- Surfer Dude
- It’s like a boomerang for the ocean! Throw it out and watch it surf back to you.
- Dump Truck
- Even my 10 yo still loves playing with a truck on the beach. I mean, how else are you going to take the sand crabs for a ride?
- Durable Boogie Board
- Perfect for the more daring kiddos who love riding the waves!
- Drippy Sandcastle sand funnel
I hope these suggestions bring great memories and hours of fun for your family!
I love hearing about unique products. Do you have a favorite beach toy that I missed?
